To allow young girls, regardless of faith, race, culture, nationality or circumstance, to meet in a safe environment – to have fun, learn new skills, work in a team and as individuals, and to learn to lead life based on the Girlguiding Promise and Law. This includes doing your best, helping other people and putting others before yourself.
11th Motherwell Rainbows Where: Motherwell South Parish Church Hall. When: Monday nights between 6pm to 7pm. Who: girls aged five to seven. They follow a programme called the Rainbow Jigsaw, which involves a wide range of activities and games. Being a Rainbow is all about learning, developing self-confidence, building friendships and, of course, having lots of fun. The Rainbow Jigsaw has four areas, LOOK, LEARN, LAUGH and LOVE after the four activities/ tasks has been completed, the Rainbows receive a Rainbow Roundabout badge.
11Ath Motherwell Brownies Where: Motherwell South Parish Church Hall. When: Monday evenings, from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm. Who: Girls join aged 7 and generally move on to Guides soon after their 10th birthday. Pack meetings consist of games, challenges and activities, both indoor and outdoor, with time dedicated to working on Interest Badges the girls themselves have chosen to complete, in line with their respective talents and hobbies. Special activities in the Brownie calendar include our annual Pantomime trip and a Pack Holiday weekend.
